MY ORIGIN, why?
We wanted to draw inspiration from our Origins: these fundamental values transmitted by our parents and grandparents: work, passion, conviviality and sharing.
At the same time, it is also because we are the origin! We have made our project a reality: to build and bring this wine estate to life. We chose to write our story from scratch.
Julien Fabregat, 31 years old
On the professional level, I first worked in the field of logistics, but my first passion, passed on by my father and my grandfather, employees in the wine sector, pushed me to a professional retraining.
I did a BTS in Viticulture-Oenology (2017-2019) in Montpellier on a work-study program in a wine estate in Pic-Saint-Loup, where I then became vineyard manager and cellar master. Fascinating studies in which I flourished: top of my class, I was lucky enough to obtain the Legion of Honor for apprentices in Languedoc Roussillon.
Pedagogy and knowledge sharing are essential in my eyes. So this year I accepted the post of teacher of Science and Technology of equipment at Agropolis in Montpellier where I work with the BTS Viti-Oeno 1st and 2nd year.
Today, our project is being built in a structured way. I am involved in the Young Farmer program supported by the Hérault Chamber of Agriculture.
Our farm is made up of 16 hectares of vines mainly in AOP Terrasses du Larzac, rented and a plot of 20 ares of Cinsault inherited from my grandpa René.
The construction of Mas Origine, for which we obtained the building permit in November 2021, includes: A hangar for equipment and a wine cellar and storage, which have been made for the 2022 harvest. Currently, the cellar and the cellar of sale and tasting are under construction.
This project is a real engagement with nature, agriculture and our personal convictions. We want to share our passion and make people discover our environment, our values and our wines.
Our family is an unwavering support at our side and we wish in turn, to transmit these beautiful values to our children.
